K-6 MUSIC/HANDBELLS

With the move of the 6th graders out to the 7-12 school (now 6-12!) Mrs. Anderson now goes over to the 6-12 school everyday 4th hour for music class with the 6th graders.  Room #142 now is the home to 4 handbell choirs and 6th grade general music.

It is great seeing all of you again. The year is off to super start in music class. Class photos will be posted next week.

Hope everyone is having a great summer. School will be starting soon, and I am excited for the new year. I have lots of new music activities to share with you.  6th graders- we will be having music class at the 6-12 school this year!!

Handbell choirs- Interested students in grades 5-12 will be signing up a week or so after school begins. After auditions the groups will be meeting weekly throughout the school year. I’m looking forward to new ringing experiences with you.

Congratulations to the HS Bell Choir. They auditioned and were chosen to perform in Madison at the “Every Child a Graduate” Conference sponsored by the Department of Public Instruction. Their performance will be at the Monona Terrace Convention Center on January 13.

I’m looking forward to new ringing experiences with you. Our bells were refurbished this summer. (Cleaned inside and out and have new clapper mechanisms.) They are like new and ready to be rung!

Congratulations to the High School Bell Choir. They received a perfect score at the State Music Festival in Eau Claire in May. Great job!

Congrats to all K-6 students on their successful spring concerts. We have a talented group of students here at Frederic Elementary School!
